GOSW's Business Plan is attached, which sets out our priorities for 2009-10.
Nationally, our main role is to work with departments to help deliver the Government's priorities (Public Service Agreements). The Strategic Priorities Framework, which is also attached below, sets out Whitehall departments' collective priorities for the Government Office Network.
GOSW's Business Plan translates these into 12 regional priorities, ranging from improving
the region's resilience to major emergencies to supporting sustainable economic growth.
The Business Plan also sets out the local priorities for each of the South West's 16 upper tier authorities, agreed with local authorities. Common to all areas is how to respond to the economic downturn and to prepare for economic recovery.
