ENVEC 2009 is the South West's main climate change conference this year.

It will be held on Thursday 8th October at the Winter Gardens Pavilion, Weston-super-Mare.
ENVEC 2009 is sponsored and supported by Government Office for the South West,
EDF Energy, Environment Agency, Energy Saving Trust, and South West Climate
Change Impacts Partnership and is organised to support the annual event
programmes of the South West Energy and Environmental Management Groups.

Admittance to ENVEC 2009 is FREE but you must pre-register.
ENVEC 2009 will feature the new climate change projections, UKCP09, in the
expert briefing sessions. Other conference and expert briefing topics include:
How can the economic recovery be green?;
Keeping the lights on for business in a low carbon economy;
Emission impossible? – the path to cutting the UK’s CO2 emissions
by 80% by 2050; and
Carbon Reduction Commitment – the monitoring phase; and Business
continuity in a changing climate – would your business stay afloat?
