Dorset Gets an Opportunity to Have its Say

Published: Thu, 19 Jun 2008 13:59:46

Ben Bradshaw MP, Minister for the South West Region, visited Dorset today as part of a consultation tour regarding the Draft Legislative Programme (DLP) 2008/9 - Preparing Britain for the Future.

The Draft Legislative Programme 2008/9 was published by the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, on 14 May 2008 and sets out the proposed new legislation which the Government would like to bring before Parliament in forthcoming sessions.

A consultation programme 'tour' is currently being undertaken by Regional Ministers in order to encourage people across Great Britain to have their say on whether these legislative proposals are focusing on the key issues of concern to them.

Ben Bradshaw MP, Minister for the South West Region, met with representatives from Dorset businesses and Third Sector organisations, when he attended Engage Dorset's 'Skills and Workforce Development in the Third Sector' conference at the Exchange in Sturminster Newton.
