New Green Guide for Outdoor/ Community Events

With summer on the way, the Government Office for the South West (GOSW) has launched a new companion guide to the national “Greener Events” guide on outdoor/ community events.

Written for GOSW by Sustainability South West, the new guide addresses issues like encouraging the use of local produce and reducing waste and noise.

 

A few simple things really can make a big difference. The public’s expectation is that these types of events become greener, so not doing certain things (like recycling) can have a negative impact not only on the environment but on the reputation of the event.
