Multi-Area Agreement in Bournemouth, Dorset Poole approved

Published: Mon, 12 Nov 2007 13:14:21

Communities Secretary Hazel Blears has endorsed plans for joint working between the local authorities in Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole. The new plans will enable the authorities to work across traditional administrative and structural boundaries through a Multi-Area Agreement (MAA).

She announced that the Government is working with Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole to develop a Multi-Area Agreement which will allow them to set their priorities on how to increase competitiveness and quality of life. The aim is to have agreed the MAA locally and with the Government by June 2008.

The proposals for MAAs were set out in the Local Government White Paper last year. You can read more about the latest announcement by using the link below.
